Welcome to Owl Class- Year 3

Welcome to Owl Classes website!  Miss Whittaker is the class teacher and is lucky enough to be supported daily by our teaching assistant Mrs Jacques. 

In year 3 we will give out learning logs on a Friday- your childs weekly homework will be a short task either on previous of prior learning. 

Spellings will be giving out on a Monday and the spelling test will be on a Thursday afternoon. Your child's spellings with be Year 3 spelling words or spelling patterns that they should be confident with by the end of year 3. It is vital homework is completed weekly to enhance your child's learning to the very best it can be! 

 

P.E will be every Tuesday and Thursday so please ensure your child has full P.E kit and pumps in school each week, we will send full P.E kits home at the end of every half term.

 

Extra-Curricular activities.

Tuesday and Thursday mornings are reading club from 8:30am in class

Wednesdays are timestables club also from 8:30am in class. 

Monday- Basket ball club from 3:15-4:15pm

Tuesday- Netball club from 3:15-4:15pm 

Thursday- Parent and Child Archery from 3:15-4:15pm

Friday - Football from 3:15-4:15pm

 

 

On Thursday we visit the library and reading books will be changed daily where applicable .It is important that children bring their reading bags to school every day. Please try to share your child's reading book daily and make a comment in their yellow reading record book every week

Don't forget to log onto Reading Plus and Timestables Rockstars, the log in details are stuck in the front of your child's reading record. These programmes are a fun way to work on your maths, reading and spelling skills.
